pH Test Strips
When you’re trying to understand what is happening in your body and how much effort you need to put into alkalising, you will also need a way to test your pH levels so that you can monitor your progress and make the necessary changes. Our pH strips are made in the UK by a chemist and are more accurate than other paper-type test strips on the market, so you can rest assured that with pH Health pH Test Strips you will achieve an accurate pH reading each time.
Maintaining a healthy pH level will help you maximize the amount of energy you get out of the food you eat and creates a hostile environment for pathogens (fungus, germs, bacteria, and viruses), preventing their growth.
You can carry your pH strips with you wherever you go so that you can keep on top of your body’s pH at all times – this lets you know which items in your daily consumption are creating changes.

How do pH Test Strips work?
For the best results, it is sensible to test your pH two to three times throughout the day so that you can see how your acidity levels fluctuate. Your body goes through waves of being acidic and alkaline depending on what you’ve eaten or how stressed you during the day. Using pH Test Strips, you can understand and monitor what your body needs in order to reach optimum health.
pH Test Strips specifically test saliva and urine and are very simple to read, and they come complete with easy-to-follow instructions, so you’ll know exactly how to read your results wherever you are. Remember to use a different pH test strip each time.
Directions for using pH Test Strips:
Testing with SALIVA: Wait two hours after eating and drinking. Do not rinse your mouth. Gather saliva in your mouth and place the pH strip into the fluid and wait five seconds before reading the pH using the colour coded chart in your pack.
Testing with URINE: Test the first and second urine of the day and record the average reading. To test, briefly, place the pH strip in the urine (midstream), then shake the excess fluid and wait five seconds before reading the pH level.
For testing with both saliva and urine:
- Wait fifteen seconds before reading the results. The colour of the indicator pads may change a little more after that point, but the most accurate reading is taken after 15 seconds.
- Compare the colour of both pads against the indicator chart on the packaging.
What should your pH level be?
It is important to remember that testing your body’s pH with pH test strips is an indication of your levels at that exact time and this will change depending on what food you ingest and how you control your stress levels.
The VERY ACIDIC area: 4.5 – 5.5
This “danger zone” please take immediate action
If your pH is in this range, your body is 50 to 100 times too acidic than it should be! Internal pH like this is stopping your cells from excreting waste and importing nutrients and oxygen to your cells. A cell only has to become 40% deficient in oxygen to become cancerous.
The ACIDIC area: 6.0 – 6.5
In this zone, your body is 5 to 10 times too acidic than it should be. Changing your diet and adding alkalizing supplements will help to bring your pH back up to an alkaline state.
The IDEAL area : 6.75 – 7.25
If your pH is in this area, congratulations! You are doing well – but keep testing over a few weeks to gauge whether your body is always alkaline or if it was just that moment in time. Keep maintaining an alkalising, healthy lifestyle for optimum vitality!
When your pH is continuously between pH6 in the morning and pH7 by the evening, you’re functioning within a healthy range, as best readings are slightly alkaline at a level of 7. Congratulations!
