Lifestyle changes to Candida Prevention or Cure

What is triggering you to eat the things that create an overgrowth of candida? Is it a habit or an emotional trigger? Do you need to move out of your comfort zone and learn about new food groups, or is it a bit more deep-seated in your subconscious mind?

1. State of mind

It is important to ask yourself this – what are your values? Many have no real idea. Perhaps you are wondering how your values might affect your candida.

It should be said then, that the process is as follows: your values affect your beliefs, your beliefs contribute to your state of mind, your state creates your attitude, your attitude affects your actions and your actions affect your lifestyle. What do you value in your life?

2. Your diet

The pH of your body is a direct response to whether candida grows out of control or not. Understanding what you put in your mouth is vital because if your body’s pH is too acidic, you may be in for a bout of candida and the myriad unpleasant side effects it brings.

3. Manage your environment

How toxic is your environment? Are you a smoker, or do you live with a smoker? Do you breathe in the environmental pollution on the way to work each day?

It may not be possible to alter everything but it is wise to become aware of how your environment is affecting you so that you can take as many measures as possible to mitigate the damage.

4. Be conscious

It’s an interesting word, consciousness. What does it actually mean? According to Wikipedia, it is this: Consciousness is the quality or state of self-awareness, or, of being aware of an external object or something within oneself. It has been defined as sentience, awareness, subjectivity, the ability to experience or to feel, wakefulness, having a sense of selfhood and the executive control system of the mind.

In short, we should become aware of not only cause and effect but our own power to manifest both positive and negative situations and environments within our lives.

Once educated, it is far easier to see the signs. The MediMush team have all battled with candida at some point in the distant past, which just goes to show how prevalent it is. It can at least be very educational, that’s for sure!

Be conscious of what you are eating, drinking, feeling, and acknowledge how it affects your body. After all, it is your lifestyle that’s creating your candida overgrowth.
